About Cheverly List
  Cheverly List is an online experiment developed by Jock Friar and Bob Rand. We discovered that we had each independently approached Cheverly town management about making a local version of craigslist, one of the fastest-growing online communities, based on geography, not special interest.
 
Council members were supportive but more interested in developing a traditional municipal website for their upcoming redesign. We decided to try this on our own and used open source forum software from Yet Another Bulletin Board (YABB) to set up Cheverly List.
